Tips Not To Doze Off At Work



It was my colleague carol who was in very bad mood. She was actually chewing the end of pen and I was worried hope she doesn’t chews it completely making the pen lame. Sometimes it is just good to stay away from the people who are slammed by boss or there are times when some people need consoling. Carol is definitely from the second clan.

Since she sits next to me I thought I better have word with her. After talking to her I realized that she was slammed by our boss for the poor performance in office. My curiosity again made me extract out the reasons that are hammering her. And to my surprise the main reason was insufficient sleep. She use to fall asleep in office.

Nothing makes your day when your boss gibe on you. But at least sharing her problem with me made her feel a bit of relaxed. But just talking was not going to help, there has to some solution.

Avoid sleeping in officeIt was not only carol who is the victim of this situation. Many times even we feel sleepy in office but what we do is just drink cups and cups of caffeine and tea. And then we are the one’s who make our body suffer to the greatest extent. Coffee and tea have caffeine and tannin which are the most harmful to the body. They actually damage the cell of your body and even worse they the production of new cells in the body.

But the question comes back gain to the orbit that, how are we going to battle against this problems? Sleep is one of the most wonderful that god has installed in human body. Sleep actually puts you to rest and make you feel the best. There is nothing that can compete with the amazing outcomes of beautiful sleep. But sleeping in office crushes the beauty of sleep. And to make the matter worse it even hammers the quality of work in the office.

It was carol’s problem that made search the solutions on this problem and thanks to heavens I found some very good solutions to curb this problem.

Well to start with this is my humble request to all my readers that please try to get enough sleep in night. When we sleep in night we actually put our brain to rest. Our brain is an organ which starts working right from the start of morning and keeps on working if we don’t sleep sound. And that’s the main reason it stops working as soon as you arrive in office. So sleep early or at least try and get enough sleep that is the minimum requirement of the body.

Now when ever you start feeling sleepy in the office the most amazing tips to followed are:

Lime JuiceCut down on your tea and coffee. Instead sip on some lime juice mixed with a spoon of honey. Lime has good amount of vitamin C which will revitalize you and honey is one of the best energy booster, Plus honey is regarded as one of the very good substitute for sugar as sugar is difficult to break down in simple components in the body.

Besides lime juice, even butter milk is good for your health and it definitely doesn’t put you to sleep. It kills the parasites that effect the intestinal digestion. The cooling agent in the butter milk keeps the entire body moist and cool refraining you from sleep.

Munch on some nuts that will help your brain work faster as well as better. It will keep you away from the stress. Nuts especially almond that is considered as best food for energy. Then even walnuts, apricots are good source of energy. They even contain ample of minerals and vitamins which are highly beneficial for the body.

The best drink to sip during the sleepy days is to have peppermint tea. Peppermint tea has good soothing effects on the stress that is produced by the brain. A herbal tea it is very beneficial on headaches and muscle aches. It reduces stress to a great extent leaving your brain very relaxed.

Drinking waterDrink lots of water. Water is the best solution on reducing stress and depriving sleep. Drinking water keeps your body moist and help in proper blood circulation of body. Water is dissolves all unwanted fats in the body. It helps the urinary tract and keeps away all the infections.  Drinking water kills the dehydration that cripples your body. So keep on drinking good amount of water. It also maintains the good immune system.

Avoid as much as heavy food you can. Heavy food stuffs like excess of butter, cheese, meat, dairy products. They increase immense fats in your body and there are some insoluble fats that puts you to rest. A slice of chocolate is complete no- no. Lunch should be usually healthy which should include a variety of vegetables or soup. A large vegetable sandwich will also do all good to your health. Thus keeps you away from sleep and sustaining your energy till snack time.

WalkingOne more simplest way is to go and have a short walk. Walking few steps will keep your sleep miles away. Walking actually reduces stress and makes you able to breathe fresh air. The continuous sitting on chair with ac makes you lethargic which hinder your concentration on your work. So always have a small walk within a few intervals of time.

Take some time out when are you are unable to give your best in work. Listen to some music which refreshes your brain. Music is the best healer but there are times when music also puts you to sleep so choose the tracks very carefully which will regenerate you.

And now the most importantly I do understand that there is huge amount of stress in office environment but the best solution is to stop worrying and remain calm. It is very well said that messed up mind cannot find solution to any problem but a calm and relaxed mind sorts out amazing solution even in the crucial situations. Every problem has a solution you just need to remain focused.

Lastly, a solution which is absolutely priceless. Talk to your colleagues. Sometimes we just want someone to listen us. And I am your colleagues will definitely help you out. I would also like to say love your job. When you love job everything becomes very easy. Loving your job is like worshiping your god. And besides when you work honestly the results are always amazing.

I really understand sleep is very much necessary but everyone will agree that sleeping in working hours will never leave a good impression.
