Just imagine the situation where your tummy is yelling for the fuel and it is impossible for you to swallow the food and water. This is the most pathetic situation. Personally, I have been through this condition and believe me it was the most agitating phase for me. Being a great lover of ice creams and cold stuff I face this trouble many times. But by now I have learned to tackle with it. I have always shared an enmity relation with medicines. The bitter taste kills me and thus, I hate popping any pills. But then I need to cure my ailments and hence most of the time I rely on my kitchen treasury. My kitchen offers me some great solutions for all my troubles.</p>
<p>Usually sore throat is a soreness, pain and irritation in the throat. It is very much afflictive to swallow food and water during sore throat. You can also say sore throat is the inflammation of pharynx which is actually back of the throat. Mostly it affects an individual when they suffer from cold. This infection of pharynx is usually caused by group A streptococcus bacteria while; it is the attack of bacterial or viral infection that causes sore throat. Sore throat can happen even due to the polluted air, smoke and other allergies.</p>
<h5><strong>Many symptoms may indicate you about the infection like:</strong></h5>

Sore throat is such a bad situation that gulping down any pill is also a huge problem and thus, I have found some interesting remedies which are very easy to prepare at the same time very much effective like:</p>

<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">The simplest way to get rid of the infection is to drink a glass of hot water mixed with lime juice and two teaspoonful of honey in the morning. It is gives immediate relief to the pain in throat.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">Boil water and add one teaspoonful of cumin seeds and few pieces of garlic to the boiling water. Let it boil for few minutes and then cool it down. Drink this mixture in small amount.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">Cinnamon has shown amazing results on cold and thus, it is helpful to cure sore throat. Mix a teaspoonful of black pepper with one teaspoonful of honey and cinnamon powder in a glass of lukewarm water. Consume this drink in little sips which will relieve you from pain.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">Even lemon is a good remedy for sore throat. Divide a lemon into two pieces. Spread some black pepper and salt on one piece. Warm the piece of lemon by heating it. Now lick this piece till it gets dry. They actually kill all the germs that create infection in the throat.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">One of the easiest ways is to chew few garlic pieces which give quick relief from irritation.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">Prepare a drink by boiling some amount of water with basil leaves. Gargle with this drink or consume this mixture it works in both the ways. Even just chewing some of the basil leaves helps to get rid of the irritation in throat.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">People usually run way from ginger but it is well known for its medicinal purposes. Ginger is a good remedy for common cold and cough. But at the same time it is has amazing effects even on sore throat. A tea prepared by adding some amount of ginger also creates wonders. Mix honey with the juice of ginger and consume this mixture twice in a day.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">A home remedy that has been effective since ancient times is Fenugreek. Boil some amount of fenugreek seeds in water. Boil this on low flame and drain the mixture after it is cooled down. You can consume this drink as well as it can be used for gargle.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">Crush some betel leaves and apply it on the throat. It reduces the swelling.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">Bishop’s weed is considered very beneficial in treating sore throat. Add a teaspoonful of bishop’s weeds and a dash of salt to a glass of lukewarm water. Gargle with this mixture at least twice in a day and continue this process till you are completely recovered.</li>
<li style="padding-bottom:15px;">Boil some plain tea leaves in water and sweeten it with honey. Drain the concoction and sip it twice in a day. It gives amazing result on the infection.</li>

<p>These are some effective home remedies which are very much simple and easy to follow. But while you are following these remedies it is very important to consume a well balanced diet.
