Boosts your toddler’s immune system



Sneezing, running nose, and wheezing are common among kids. Most of the time in a year, they are susceptible to cold. Due to cold, they suffer from sore throat, running nose, irritated moods, watery eyes, and slight fevers. As, in growing age, the immune system of any kid is also developing, Thus, they are easily affected with infections.

It is very much important to build your child’s immune system stronger, as it is the only defensive power your child possesses. A strong immune system will fight with germs, bacteria that cause infection, but a weak immune system will rather welcome all infections and diseases. Wrong habits of food, inadequate sleep, and lack of exercise will affect your child’s immune system. Thus, it is essential to care your child’s immune system by providing him with right kind of food. A proper diet is the most essential for your child’s health. Care your child with certain simple measures that will protect your child from infections and diseases. It will help in boosting your toddler’s immune system. Just make your child follow the simple measures such as,

Water:

Our body comprises 70% of water, which needs to be sustained. Human body requires plenty of water to function properly. Water is carrier of oxygen, blood, and nutrition to all organs of the body. Thus, it is essential to drink lots of water.

Whenever they are thirsty, ask them to drink water instead of grabbing cola and carbonated drinks. These drinks cause more dehydration, thus offer water as first choice.

You may offer them fresh juice of fruits or vegetables as second choice. Even natural drinks such as butter milk, lime water, rose water, or herbal teas are also good option.

Fresh fruits and veggies:

Kids literally consider veggies as their biggest enemies. But, they need to understand that vegetables are loaded with vitamin and minerals essential for proper growth. Parents should encourage kids to eat food good amount of different vegetables. You can make some attractive images with vegetables, so that they will eat it happily. Add vegetables to sauces, pasta, and noodles, thus they will grab it easily. Include vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, potatoes, and tomatoes in their daily diets.

Make them eat large amount of fruits everyday as, fruits are flooded with numerous vitamins and other nutrients. Replace their potato chips, cookies, cakes with bowl of fresh fruits. You may add some yogurt to make it more delicious. Blueberries, cantaloupes, water melon, grape fruit, orange, and strawberry are rich in nutrients.

Seeds:

Seeds are the best source to gain energy, as it contains several nutrients. Sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds are very much beneficial for healthy and strong body. Many times, kids are reluctant to consume these seeds, in such condition pound the seeds and sprinkle powdered seeds in their soups, stews, or salads.

Swap the food:

Replace or substitute your child’s wrong eating habit with healthy eating habits. It will take time, but you need to stick by idea.

Substitute their junk food with healthy nutritional home made food. Ask them to consume fresh food.

Replace white flour with whole wheat flour. Use whole wheat flour to prepare your cakes, cookies, and biscuits. Even opt for whole wheat pasta and add lots of veggies to make it more delicious.

Shit their diet of white rice to brown rice as, brown rice contains all nutrients that generally gets worn away while polishing.

Cut down their intake of sugar and replace it with honey. Honey is the best remedy to boost your immune system. Thus, avoid the consumption of artificial sweeteners.

These food items are recognized as the best way to improve your child’s immune system. Thus, change your child’s diet to have healthy childhood.
